Unless otherwise noted, groups are held at Sutter VNA & Hospice, 1900 Powell St., Suite 300, Emeryville, CA 94608.
The Bereavement Program is funded by community support. Donations are gratefully accepted. A sliding scale donation may be requested of community clients ($5-25/session); no one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

Grief and Creative Expression
In this 8-week group, we will share our grief though clay, collage, drawing, and writing. No previous art experiance necessary. A donation is requested to cover cost of supplies.

National Bereavement Teleconference
The 15th annual Bereavement Teleconference, "Living with Grief: Children and Adolescents", will take place April 16, 2008, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Samuel Merritt College Health Education Center in Oakland. Registration fee is $15. 3 CEs are available for an additional $25 on-line or $35 by mail. Call (510) 450-8596 for information.

Handling the Holidays

Service of Remembrance
Every year during the holidays join us for a special gathering to honor the memory of loved ones who have died. We will provide the opportunity for you to say the name of your loved one(s) and light a candle in their memory. Music, a time for sharing, and refreshments will be provided. Everyone is invited to bring pictures or mementos of their loved ones so that we can create a "Table of Memories." Open to the community. Call (510) 450-8596 for date.
